Like Midge Maisel, I was equally excited to get out of the city for a weekend.

One of my good friends is moving back to London and organized a girls trip to the Catskills.

We mostly stayed at the house drinking wine, mulled wine, more wine, and some hot toddy’s. It was also probably the most picturesque cabin to have long dinner conversations and play board games.

There are also two nearby towns (Hudson and Catskill) with shops (lots of vintage furniture), restaurants, and wine tasting nearby.

how to get there:

📍Catskill, NY | It was an easy two-hour train from Penn station ($35 each way) and 10 minute taxi ride to the house. Speaking of the house, I mean MANSION. We stayed in a glorious, victorian 100-year old mansion detailed and decorated down to the tiles. It sleeps 10 so gather your friends or fam for the perfect weekend upstate.

I also got asked (and stopped on the street every 10 feet) where I got my new winter coat.

This metallic-copper wonder is from Nordstrom (found here) and is pretty affordable for a full-length high-end down coat at $420. I’m wearing an XS so I suggest sizing down.

Picture this: a self-playing piano with music sheets from Cole Porter to Frank Sinatra. Rustic + modern bathrooms (think edison bulbs and brand new showers).

A kitchen of your dreams with an old-school oven that makes you want to cook all day long.

A long kitchen table to fit 10 with windows lining the entire back wall so the room fills with light in the morning for coffee and good conversation.
